Wednesday Evening Small Group

Wednesday Evening Small Group

Our Format

The Wednesday Night Small Group meets on the first, third, and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:30 pm to about 8:00 pm. We have a time of snacks and fellowship before we begin our study.  In the past, we have learned Biblical truths from videos of such teachers as Dr. David Jeremiah, Francis Chan, Max Lucado, and the Navigators.

Did you know that the moon has no light of its own but reflects the light from the sun?  That is why our group is called the "Sonbeams" because we are called to be light in our world and our light comes from the Son of God.

Our Purpose

Titus 2:1-8 reminds us of how much we can learn from each other.  Therefore, we meet to provide opportunities for believers to learn and challenge each other as we apply the gospel within the intimacy of our small group relationships.

In Matthew 16:15 Jesus asks his disciples: "Who do you say I am?"  As Christians, that is a good question to ask ourselves.  We need to help each other grapple with this question regularly.  When we do we enable one another to apply our answers to our own lives.   We invite people who are willing to get to know us so they can help us walk with Christ more faithfully.

Our Study and Prayer Time

There is value and importance in studying God's word by discussing and applying Scripture together. Members learn to understand not only the Bible but also each other so that we get to know better how to love each other.
In our small group, we help one another come to the throne of grace and present our praise and requests in our own humble words. In our intimate setting, we can learn to pray even as we welcome and experience the creator of the universe in our midst.
